AN INTERVIEW WITH AUTHOR FRANK A SILVA | AUTHOR INTERVIEW

Me: Did you always know that you would write a book someday?
Frank: I suspected and hope that I would. I greatly desired to. I read voraciously from the time I was around 8 on, and started writing when I was about 10.
Me: What inspired you to write this book?
Frank: I wanted to write a different kind of Zombie Apocalypse Novel/Story, and I figured that God and The Devil would be involved, on some level. Boy did I greatly underestimate what happened when I started writing…
Me: How did the cover of your book come to be? Is it exactly like you envisioned?
You: The Cover was almost exactly like I envisioned. I went through 3 or 4 Artists before I found the right one. It certainly was a process…
Me: Do you intend to keep writing?
Frank: I’m writing now. After I ‘wrote’ this book, I wrote a few dozen short stories/novellas. At least enough to fill a book or two…
Me: What would you say is your most interesting writing quirk?
Frank: I write very Stream of Consciousness and allow the characters and plot to take me along for the ride. I’m not sure if that’s really a ‘quirk’, but that’s how I’m answering that.
Me: How many books have you written? Which is your favorite if more than one? If only 1 book then do you plan on writing more?
Frank: Well, when I graduated High School, I had an idea for a book, which I proceeded to write around 120 pages of before I fizzled out. The idea was just cool enough to grab me in the beginning, but it stopped being interesting to me. Of course, I was 18, and was a bit more interested in girls, at the time…
In college, I wrote another book, which was better, but not great. After college, in my 20’s, I wrote a 3rd book, which had a cool villain, and some great characters. The plot wasn’t bad, and the writing was certainly better, but the book I just released in June is the culmination of probably about 38 years of extensive reading and writing. I’m pretty proud of it, and happy with the results I was able to produce.
I plan on writing as many books as I can until I run out of stories, but I doubt that will ever happen, except upon my death, lol.
Me: Was there any interesting tidbits you edited out of this book?”
Frank: There was a whole part of the book that I ended up not using, but have used parts of in the sequel. That part was called, ‘The Gospel Of Harlem’ and some of those characters are in the 2nd book, which I’m incredibly happy about.
